Welcome to the International School of Yangon!
ISY is now entering its 55^th year of operation and has a long history of academic excellence. We are an American Embassy affiliated school. Our curriculum is based on the American model of education. We are proud to share that The International School of Yangon was recently awarded a full six year WASC accreditation and IB diploma authorization. Nearly all of our students go on to the universities in English speaking countries. Most of our graduates go to the USA with many earning significant scholarships to some of the best universities in the world.

ISY is not only an academically challenging institution; we also strive for our students to be well rounded and caring citizens. Community service is a very important component of our school mission. Our students are very motivated and respectful. Even experienced overseas teachers find our students some of the best students they have taught in the world.  Our teachers are top notch teachers, whose mission it is, to help improve people’s lives.
