A fantastic documentary about a HS "Slam' Poetry contest will screen at ISY Black Box Theatre. The director of the film is willing to come in and answer questions and speak about the film at the same time.  An opportunity not to be missed.

Mature audiences are recommended.

An admissions director from Guilford College, North Carolina will be in the senior lounge  during  lunch on Friday. Please come to meet her(in the beginning of the period- bring your lunches) if you are interested. Guilford is one of the schools mentioned in the book by Loren Pope "Colleges that Change Lives."  Guilford is a  very liberal school with a an excellent reputation. It is  one  of the hidden gems in American education.

Thursday and Friday are YEARBOOK picture days in the high school for all formal, individual photos.

It is appreciated that students dress accordingly and wear something that would be appropriate for a picture

that your own children will see in 20 years and that your parents will be proud of in June!  A nice shirt, a shirt and tie,

or national dress would be great ways to send those positive messages.

IF any body wants to sing up to take AP exam in May, please see Ms. Hallwood as soon as possible. Each exam will cost $117. All AP Environmental students are required to take this exam. And I will automatically sign you up. Payment detalils will come next month.

We are privileged to have two international artists delivering a 3 day theatre and music workshop at ISY(7th-9th of Feb). The experience allows HS students the opportunity to participate in live theatre and work with professionals in creating environment. The 3 day workshop will culminate into a performance held on the 9^th of February at 6:30pm at ISY. 20 students will be chosen. Cost is $60.00USD.
