ISY students participate in a variety of community outreach programs that seek to enhance the lives of our neighbors and hosts. Through the Creativity, Action and Service component of the IB Programme students are encouraged to recognize the needs of our greater community and contribute in ways that not only benefit local schools and organizations, but that ultimately make our students more caring, compassionate human beings.

In addition, the Myanmar Studies Program at ISY actively seeks to promote community service initiatives throughout Myanmar by visiting villages and developing on-going projects in partnership with local schools and monestaries.

It is an integral part of ISY’s mission that our students will become a force for positive change in their communities. Through community service at ISY our students develop their own powers to make a difference in the world.
